FRIENDS

Friends. Cant live with em. Cant live without them.

Being a way from Uni this last week was so much fun and I loved every minute, I did however miss aspects of my "normal everyday life" especially my friends. Friends are an important part of everyones life. I live with 5 other girls in my house and I have to say the have turned into some of my closest friends. We laugh constantly and have the most ridiculous conversations ever. I love being at home or away from he house but when ever I am away I always miss the HoD and the people in it.

HOME

Having spent the week in a hotel I was so looking forward to coming home (if only for a night!) 

My Mum picked me up at the airpot and off be went. Home. 

I love Traveling and seeing new places but there is nothing in the world like Home. All your family and belongings in one place. Together. 

I have to go back to Uni tomorrow and am looking forward to seeing my "second Home" the HoD and everything that comes with it especially my housemates and friends. 

A Home is somewhere where you are yourself completely. No ifs. No Buts. And i am very lucky to have that security in both my homes. 

Not sure when i will be returning "Home home" again but I'm sure it wont be long!

STREET ART

Walking around LA I have noticed there is a huge amount of street art on show. On nearly every corner of West Hollywood there is a different piece. My fav that I have found is the one of the Buddha and the girl, this one I found at the bottom of a wall on a street corner. A lot of people don't consider street art to be Art but rather, just a mess. I have to agree with them when it comes to Graffiti but actual drawings I really like. 
In this case Street Art isn't illegal. Its just frowned at. Then agin what are rules for if not to be broken.

MUSIC

My music taste definitely goes in cycles. I find a couple of songs that I love and then just listen to them over and over again till I can basically sing them and cant listen to the tune anymore. At the moment I am making my way though the HBO series Girls Soundtrack which is filled with fun energetic music from new and upcoming bands. My favourite song from this album is I Love It (feat. Charlie XCX) by Icona Pop. Its so loud and completely electronic. PERFECT getting ready/ club song.

When I'm in not such a loud mood my turn to artist at the moment are Bastille and Benjamin Francis Leftwhich. (I know I'm late to the party!) 

Pompeii is the best Bastille song in my opinion, and for BFL Atlas Hands or Pictures.

OVERSIZED

Since being in the USA I have realised everything is bigger. The Cars. The Food. The People.  Although the biggest and best oversized trend is Jumpers.

 Everywhere you look this season oversized jumpers are the thing being worn. As the days get warmer (woohoo!), an oversized jumper is the easiest thing to slip over your head as you get out of bed on a cold morning, or in my case roll reluctantly out 20 minuets before a lecture starts. The Homies Jumper above is my newest purchase, yes, granted it did hurt the purse a little bit but it was so worth it! The Hoodie is from LA Based designer Brian Lichtenberg who's first collation plays on the names and logos of famous luxury brands. Hermes- Homies. Simple.

SLEEP

Having a great night sleep is always a good thing. For me there is nothing nicer than getting into a fluffy warm bed at the end of a stressful day. Because I am currently staying in a hotel its not quite the same as when I'm at home, which is with out a doubt my favourite bed, but its still pretty good. Sleeping allows for you to properly shut off your brain for a while and just sink into peace, which for everyone is really important once in a while. 
Also since I have a little bit of a cold right now sleep is really important for me to feel better so that I can get on with my life without having to drag a tissue box with me everywhere!

SHOES

Ohh shoes...Where do I begin? Having Spent the day looking and touching mountains of the worlds most incredible shoes by designers such Brian Atwood, Barbara Bui and Aldo, I must admit I have fallen in love! I have NEVER been a shoe girl! Having size 42 (european) feet and being 6ft tall its often hard to find shoes that fit me well and that I love! 
The shoes above are all Brian Atwood who has today fast become my favourite shoe designer. EVER. Only problem... the smallest heel size I have seen today... 6 inches. 
So to all you beautifully smaller people get shopping and wear those heels for me!
